I just wrote a freelance article on the Anna Karenina, a film that I experience with my best friend Anastasia. Based on the Leo Tolstoy classic (written in 1878), it is directed by Joe Wright, who with his innovative cinematography and presentation blew us both away. We were both impressed with the elaborate, theatrical sets (100 of them in total) which served as the backdrops; the custom-made costumes (designed by Jaqueline Durran, who added 1950s elements to the silhouettes of the 1800s) the choreographed movement of both the performers, along with the beautiful camera work.

I crave lush visual spectacle, and if it wasn’t for you recommendation I would have missed this one.
Thanks Eddie
